Fly Shop, Espresso, & Rentals

In addition to great food and fishing, Saltery Lake Lodge has some extra-special amenities made available to all of our guests. For those who prefer something stronger than our jet-black drip coffee in the mornings, Dave makes the best espresso on the entire island. Before you head back to the real world, make sure to swing by the Saltery Gift Shop to grab some sweet Simms fishing gear, complete with the lodge logo.

Fly Shop

In addition to branded clothing, we are also Kodiak's registered Hatch dealer. If you find that your old reel isn't up to the task of turning a twenty-pound silver salmon, we invite our guests to try a top-of-the-line sealed Hatch reel. We also carry Hatch nippers and their award-winning aluminum pliers. These hearty products are proudly manufactured in the United States and sure to accompany you on your return to Saltery Lake. Our rental reels have run since 2012 with no problems!

The Saltery Fly Shop will carry a wide variety of the hottest flies (tied by our esteemed guides during the winter months) and lures. Before you hit the water each morning, check with your guide and make sure to load up on dolly llamas, wogs, popscicles, intruders, and spinners that have been catching the most fish.

Gear Rentals

For anglers looking to travel light, we do offer our clients the ability to rent premium Hatch Reels and TFO rods for the price of $125/week. (This cost is strictly to cover the inevitability of fixing broken rods at the end of the season) For spin fishermen and those looking to use slightly less high-powered fly fishing equipment, we have plenty of rods and reels on hand that our guests are welcome to borrow.
